The Drive-in

Last week Brian and I decided to take the kids to the drive-in theater near Maquoketa to see Toy Story 3. Brady loved the movie so much the first time, we thought a second showing would be fun. I went to this same drive-in as a kid and so did my dad when he was little!

We layed out a sleeping bag in the back of the van with pillows and blankets for the kids.

Brady rotated between the van and his chair outside. He brought his own special pillow and blanket too.

Brady loved the movie again. Afterwards he kept saying " That was a good big movie Mommy and Daddy." We might have to own this one when it comes out on DVD!

The Rushes

The last weekend in June, Brian, the kids, and I were fortunate enough to travel up to Door County, WI, to vacation with my grandparents at their time share on Kangaroo Lake.

Brady loved playing "Thomas the Train" with Great-Grandma!

Blake usually hung out with Great-Grandpa eating and watching his big brother.

It did rain some while we were up there, but Brady didn't care because the indoor pool was his favorite part!

He was quite the jumper!

Even Blake was able to swim alittle.

The last day we were there it was sunny, so we tried the lake.

The water temp was 74 degrees, but Brady wasn't convinced. He wouldn't swim, and it was too windy to take out a sailboat or paddleboat.

We had a wonderful time despite some rainy weather! It was so much fun taking my kids up to vacation in the same spot I vacationed as a child! Thank you so much Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa for a fun trip.

Brothers

Sometime we think we were given a duplicate copy! This is Blake with Brady's 3 month picture in the background. There are moments when they look like the same kid!

Father's Day (alittle late)

I am so late in posting this picture! We had a wonderful Father's Day and the boys couldn't be luckier. They have such a wonderful father that loves them with all of his heart!
